The foundation believes that: “1 person + 1 dollar/yuan + 1 month = 1 big family”. If each person donates at least one dollar/yuan each month, our individual donations can be transformed into a much greater fund. When we combine our charitable strength, we can make sure that the most vulnerable members of our global family will receive the help they need.

Embodying the Red Cross’ spirit of humanity and philanthropy, we believe that in helping others we will also find our own happiness. Starting in China, our goal is to build a sustainable, professional, and trustworthy foundation platform to encourage social sector development and bring out mass participation in philanthropic giving and volunteerism.

Disaster Relief
According to statistics, China is one of the countries that suffers from a lot of disasters. On average, almost 200 million people are affected and nearly 60 million need help each year. The records of direct economic losses in 1998 and 2005 were 3.007 billion and 2.042 billion.

Philanthropy Awards & Philanthropy Forum
The foundation’s four pillars of focus are: education, health, environment, and poverty (in no particular order). To promote the professional development of social sector and social enterprise work in China, we will launch an annual China Philanthropy Awards. The awards will find the top foundations and charities in China and provide grants for them to continue their work and scale their operations. We will provide a transparent process so that grant seekers will know exactly why an award was given.

In addition, each year, we will hold an annual conference to bring together relevant individuals, non-profit organizations, corporations and government leaders to discuss the issues that pertain to our four pillars. The goal is to help provide a valuable platform for key stakeholders to network,share best practices and exchange ideas.

One Foundation operates under international best practice standards of accountability, transparency, and responsibility to ensure that donations made will reach those in need. Global Big Four accounting firm Deloitte is supporting the foundation by providing independent audits of the foundation's financial records. In addition, we have received the long-term support of a global top-tier management and strategic consulting firm. The foundation issues quarterly updates and annual reports to the public.
